Accounts Payable (Freight) Intern – 6-month position

Wayfair is looking to add an Accounts Payable Intern to its growing Finance team based in our European Operations Center in Berlin for a period of 6 months. The role will be responsible for assisting our Accounts Payable team with various tasks and projects to help ensure we build strong commercial relationships with our carriers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a multitude of aspects of the Finance function.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Entering costs for carrier and preparing payments
  • Reviewing vendor statements and following up if necessary
  • Collecting credits due from vendors
  • Responding to carrier queries

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum B2 level of German (Any additional language also desirable)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Analytical with strong problem solving skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Experience with SQL desirable
  • Currently studying or recently graduated in an accounting / finance / business related field
