German Proofreader & Text Quality Manager - part-time

Do you love reading and writing German texts and just hate any kind of badly written texts? Well, we have the right job in Berlin for you!
 

Work fully flexible from our multicultural office in the heart of Berlin approx. 20 hours per week as proofreader and quality assurance assistant for our German team at greatcontent.
 

greatcontent is a young and fast growing international copywriting and translation company with an online platform offering its services in more than 18 different languages. We facilitate thousands of text orders every day and support more than thousand clients and writers every month. We work for customers all over the world such as Mister Spex, Groupon, STYLIGHT, Zalando, Sixt, Venere and many others.

Your role:

1. Monitor and set the quality level of our German authors
2. Proofread texts
3. Provide support for questions from writers
4. Manage text projects and do quality assurance

Your profile:

Minimum Requirements

1. Studies in linguistics or German language are mandatory.
2. You have a professional and excellent native speaking level of German
3. You must be an expert in grammar, spelling, structure and punctuation.
4. You have very strong German writing and proofreading skills
   (for example, be able to simplify sentence structure when appropriate and recommend changes to avoid repetitions).
5. You work efficiently, accurately and are results oriented
6. You are self-motivated and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
7. To be team committed and to actively communicate is natural for you

Nice extras

1. Preferably you have a BA or a MA in social sciences or languages or have experience with online marketing agencies / writing texts
2. Proofreading experience from a professional  or academic position
3. You have a good sense of humour
