For our Institute for the Protection of Maritime Infrastructures in Bremerhaven, we wish to recruit a qualified
System Analytics
Your mission:
We are looking to recruit a research associate for the area of “System Analytics” in the Resilience of Maritime Systems Department at our Institute for the Protection of Maritime Infrastructures in Bremerhaven. The Department develops analysis methods and assessment criteria that enable the measurement and description of the achieved degree of resilience in complex systems. The findings are used to create new security concepts that permit a technological and systematic organisation of infrastructure according to the principle of resilience-by-design. System optimisation during the design phase is based on the integral appreciation of complementary security objectives in the areas of simple operational safety, advanced operational safety and protection from attack. In this regard, factors such as economic efficiency, legal implementation and societal acceptance of planned measures must be considered.
- development and description of system architectures, as well as creation and simulation of functional system models
- research and development of methods and procedures for the acquisition and modelling of system security
- management of research and development projects
Your qualifications:
- university graduate (university Diplom or master) in engineering (e.g. electrical engineering), natural sciences (e.g. mathematics, technical mathematics, numerical analysis) or computer sciences
- PhD preferred
- proficiency and many years of experience in the development, modelling and simulation of functional system models
- experience in the management of third-party funded projects is preferred
- experience in dealing with industrial partners, if possible in collaborative projects, is preferred
- excellent written and spoken rhetorical skills and business fluent English
- outstanding communication skills and cooperative manner, ability to work in a team
