Buying and Logistics Internship

MadBid is looking for a high powered, highly effective, self-organized, creative, fun and professional person to fulfil an exciting position in our company. You should have a genuine passion for the Internet and should understand how different value propositions online generate revenue. You should be a fast learner.

This is a sensational opportunity to join an innovative and strong eCommerce business. To fulfil the role you will be facilitating the buying of products sold on Madbid.com, negotiating with suppliers and work with logistics. The role will include customer service regarding delivery of the products to customers while interfacing directly with our warehouse, team and suppliers.

You will plan and place all products on the live site. Critical to the department’s functionality is providing an assurance of excellent customer service, and making sure that our website looks professional.

The buying department’s main responsibility is to source the goods. Along with this, the buying team maintains a healthy relationship with suppliers. Product innovation is also a key for buying, as keeping up with the latest trends on products.

This position is best suited for a reliable person, who is considered a perfectionist at heart. College or university education is a plus, but more important is evidence of maturity and dedication to making sure quality work is produced. 

Key requirements:

• Must have an energetic hands on attitude and keen interest in working with a market leading company of Gamified eCommerce.
• Confident, and has the ability to step up and take responsibility when needed.
• Burning desire to join and learn within an e-commerce company.
• Motivated to hit the ground running, working independently with a positive attitude and great energy.
• Strong independent analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English (written and spoken); other languages of advantage.
