Samsung IPC Germany is the head office responsible for sourcing and market intelligence activities as well as discovering/scouting and developing businesses with innovative companies that become a Samsung supplier. IPC UK is responsible for SCM and accounting of established businesses.

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for investigating and delivering critical market intelligence to the leadership to provide upper hand in business negotiations and making strategic decisions.
As an intern, you will be shadowing and supporting senior members of the team. Researching, analyzing and writing reports while exposed to the entire process of purchasing. You will engage with internal clients, Samsung suppliers and external research and advisory firms. Your reports may contribute and directly influence the strategy and decisions made within Samsung.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gather relevant and up-to-date data on the consumer electronics market in a timely manner
- Investigate various market segments and analyze technological trends and market regulations that have become eminent and expected
- Create client-centric analysis reports with supporting data, targeting senior leadership
- Build confidant relationships and network across industry to secure competitive information source
- Support procurement sourcing and SCM specialists with key information that contributes to purchasing power and risk mitigation
Necessary Attributes/Requirements:
- High-level writing skills in Korean required (reports are created in Korean), fluency in English and additional European languages including German advantageous
- Bachelor or Master student (graduand/recent graduate preferred) in Engineering or Natural Sciences with strong affinity towards IT and consumer electronics products
- Proficiency in MS Office as well as skills in report and presentation creation
- Excellent communicator, verbal and written, with great interpersonal skills
- Tech savvy and commercially astute
