Description:
The Ionion Center for the Arts & Culture ( https://ionionartscenter.gr/ ) is Educational and Cultural Organisation operating in Global
environment in the fields of Higher Education, Arts, Sciences and Research. Education is the key factor, which attracts and attends the
high standard creative and academic requirements of Artists, Scientists, Researchers, Universities, Institutions and Organizations from
all over the Globe.
The Center is located in the village M etaxata of Livathos, island Kefalonia, Greece. The Greek island Kefalonia in the Ionian Sea,
middle of the M editerranean, is a geographical cross point of high significance for the financial and cultural communication between
East and West, an area with considerable meaning through the ages for the understanding and advancement of the Greek, European
and Global Civilization.
Direct air flights from M ay 1st - to October 30th are directly connecting the island with the European, M editerranean and Arab
countries. D irect sea lines from/to Italy , Bari , Angona & Venice , make the Center accessible to the interested Institutions, Educators
and Artists, helping the consolidat ion of an Institution with considerable contribution in the Contemporary world of Arts, Sciences and
Research.

The Center offers an internship from May to October , based on the follow:
Internship in cultural management
Tasks:
- Welcoming and mentoring of artists, academics, researchers, universities’ teams .
- Organizing and attending cultural and educational events, such as lectures, open studios, educational courses, concerts,
performances , exhibitions .
- Guest s management and guidance.
- Translating artist’s statements and programmes, documents & texts related to the events
- Announcements of the events in media platforms

Advertising, marketing , communication and archiving
Tasks :
- poster & flyers creations (under the supervision and instructions of the director) .
- multimedia management .
- maintenance of the website and sub -websites of the Center(under the supervision and instructions of the director) .
- Photograph y, video documentation , video and audio clips of the events
- Image and video editing
- Archiving of documented events
(Interns with professional experience and cameras will be welcome) .

Inter nship in the field of attendance of all the professional areas , the equipment & the garden.
- Attention to the general aesthetic s and cleanliness in the Center in all areas and in the small garden , watering the plants and
keeping in order the around the Center small area .
- Safe use and storage of professional equi pment during and after the art events (projectors, sound systems etc).
- Tidy up the exhibition hall, the amphitheater, the patio and work studios before and after the use or the events.
- Helping the personnel of the Center to run the patio , the kitchen, the meals program and the receptions .
Requirements for interns
Good character, responsibility, flexibility in work, nice manners and respectful dress code .
Fluent written and spoken English ( other languages are welcome; knowledge of Greek is not required) .
Love for Culture and Education .
Respect to the Center and to the Local Community .
Understanding & enthusiasm in interaction with personnel, artists, educators, guests and visitors.
The int erns should not be older than 30 years .

presentations, exhibitions, artworks creation , research etc) .

Free participation in workshops, master classes, open c ourses and exhibitions (and academic courses in agreement with the
universities ).
Living experience in a Gre ek island and professional experience in an Institution for Arts and Higher Education .
Connec tions with the local artists, educat ors and the global art’s and academic network of the Ionion Center .
