Two thematic fields are currently envisaged: a) digital management information systems for social protection (especially the open spurce software openIMIS) and b) approaches for crisis-proof and adaptable social protection systems. On behalf of BMZ, the Global Initiative is hosting the Coordination Desk of the global openIMIS Initiative. It aims at promoting the use of the software as well as the continuous development and further integration with other digital systems in health and social protection scenarios. Your tasks Support the work stream of the Coordination Desk, which consists of country assessments and implementation support, technical aspects of openIMIS and community building and communication Support of the coordination desk in the various phases of the subcontracting process Coordinate with technology partners of the openIMIS Initiative within and outside of GIZ Participation in various community activities of openIMIS as well as in missions to support the implementations Support of the coordination of the various software development projects in the openIMIS Initiative Technically manage the various platforms and tools being used by the openIMIS Initiative Regular quality checks of the openIMIS software Represent openIMIS as well as the global initiative at conferences and events Your profile Bachelor's degree in either health financing, health sciences, social protection or information and communications technology (ICT), engineering or any other relevant area Practical work experience in international organizations or consultancies that are active in development co-operation are an asset Technical understanding of web-based and mobile ICT technologies IT proficiency in terms of server and software installation and management Experience in ICT4D and/or digital solutions for health/social protection is beneficial Knowledge on open-source applications and a strong commitment to open development approaches are an advantage High social competence, an appropriate demeanour as well as intercultural sensitivity, the ability to work in a team and strong intercultural communication skills Fluency in English and German; French language skills are an advantage Notes Please understand that we can accept and process in principle only applications via our E-recruiting system.
