Marketing Executive

 

This full time post will require a BA (Hons) Graduate with a 2.1 minimum in Marketing / Business Studies / Supply Chain Management or related disciplines. MA, MSc or MBA would be desirable.

 

£26,495 - £31,604 (subject to qualifications) plus training budget up to £1,500

 

The post is a full time one year fixed term appointment with an excellent chance to join Ecoffins on a permanent basis at the end of the project.

 

This post offers a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious graduate to launch a career in industry with the support of company and academic mentors. Ecoffins joined forces with the University of Greenwich for this interesting KEEP+ (Knowledge Exchange and Embed Partnerships) project with financial assistance from the European Regional Development Fund. Whilst being an employee of the University of Greenwich, you’ll be based full time at the premises of Ecoffins, Sittingbourne, Kent to manage this project.

 

Ecoffins is a major manufacturer and supplier of eco-friendly coffins and urns. This project is to build their UK market share and develop marketing knowledge, capacity and capability which together will underpin significant future growth and help with the development of a new product to fit the market. You will be responsible for project managing this programme of work, bringing your marketing knowledge to the new product development process.

The Person

The successful candidate will possess a BA (Hons) (2.1 minimum) in Marketing / Business Studies / Supply Chain Management or related disciplines. MA, MSc or MBA is desirable. The person will be a central part of a strategic marketing project. This project requires someone with project management experience ideally in marketing and/or sales to ensure that the project will run as planned and that written reports are produced on time.

Since large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data will be collected and analysed it is vital that the candidate is able to deal with the complexity of these tasks preferably with some similar experiences. Knowledge and experience with a statistical software programme such as SPSS would be helpful for the candidate to possess.         

The candidate needs to be a motivated self-starter and be able to interact with enthusiasm and effectively with people at all levels.

Although the successful candidate will have the support of a company supervisor and an academic supervisor, a degree of confidence to develop ideas outside his or her normal knowledge base is important.
