The Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR in Wachtberg near Bonn is part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, which is one of the leading radar research institutes in Europe with approx. 350 employees. To strengthen the connection between Fraunhofer FHR and RWTH Aachen University, a research group was established in Aachen. The young team uses the research environment in Aachen to open new research fields in radar and high frequency technology. The focus is on applications in business unit traffic. The research group Aachen develops innovative methods to improve the capabilities of radars for perception and to characterize radar systems comprehensively and reliably. The working environment of the research group enables creative and active participation within one of the most renowned research organizations in Germany. Your future tasks include the following Your tasks include working on projects in the field of automotive radar and traffic. Within this field, your focus will be on the development of embedded software systems for automotive radars. Since the research group Aachen is in close contact with other departments of the FHR as well as with institutes in Aachen, your ability to work in a team and your willingness to get to know new subject areas is of great importance. Your research results, which you present at conferences and in articles for scientific journals, serve as a basis for the acquisition and processing of further projects from public clients and industry.
