WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The Expert Track Trainee Program will give you the possibility to be part of connected pools of experts with diverse technical backgrounds at Daimler Truck or Daimler Buses in various German locations.
The Expert Track is an alternative to a classical entry position. You will be working in globally connected projects and agile teams. Take your chance to develop in your area of competence through project-based working, exchange ideas with like-minded experts, receive support from the expert coaches and make use of training & development opportunities tailored to your needs.
The 36 months Expert Track offers you the following aspects:
- Onboarding within predefined home area
- Connect with your expert coach to get support & exchange ideas
- You will have the possibility to shape the future of transportation within highly relevant projects in various locations
- Get the opportunity to participate in interesting and valuable trainings
- You will have a lot of responsibility in actively driving your topics forward, by bringing in your competences, as well as implementing your solutions
After 36 months of successful and intense project rotations you will return to your home area. Your new skills, experiences and your global network will be supporting you in your future task.
Your home area could be in one of the following departments:
Daimler Truck (Stuttgart / Mannheim):
In the eDrive sector, you take responsibility for developing highly integrated electric drive systems – from system definition and function development to virtual design. You work closely with experts in testing, design, and simulation, actively shaping the future of sustainable mobility. As a trainee, you will be involved in key methodologies such as FMEA and learn to think about and manage complex systems in a holistic way.
At our Manufacturing Engineering Global Powersystems department, we plan production equipment and machines for the foundry, engine manufacturing, and zero-emission components. As part of our machining team, you will be responsible for planning and commissioning of modern production equipment – from process development to final acceptance. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and international partners and vendors - actively shaping the future of manufacturing. Daimler Buses (Mannheim):
In the BUS planning division, we are shaping the production of the future in order to build the best buses in the world. We rely on innovative ideas and solutions that make our production the benchmark in the industry. In doing so, we can draw on the existing know-how in a global production network. As a trainee, you will use modern engineering methods to model, implement and sustainably improve production processes.
